Troon Toonz started out as a series of silly little comics I did based on my experiences as a trans woman I shared with some friends, and to an extent it still kind of is. At some point against my better judgement, I posted my most recent comic at the time to 4chan's /lgbt/ board (yes, I know) and started working on a design for a character instead of having different people who all look like me at one point in time, and thus, Luna was born. She didn't have her name yet though, that was what a bunch of anons agreed was a good name for her and I couldn't disagree.
Sometimes when I'm at a really low point and am browsing /lgbt/ again I'll post pics of Luna and either love her, are confused, or are absolutely enraged by her existence. 4channers are a weird bunch man.
Though the plan originally was to draw comics of Luna, as I began working on T4T I grew interested in making visual novels. While my current future VN plans do not feature Luna, at some point I am gonna continue her story.
The answer to that is simple really: I detest social media and the centralized web. Not the most original answer, I know, but it's true. Plus, I like dedicated websites such as this as a fun novelty. I realize promoting my stuff on my own website as opposed to say, twitter (BARF) is going to kneecap any chance of gaining a large following, but I don't care too much about that. I'd be perfectly satisfied with a small audience.
